IVÁN CARRILLO PÉREZ

Iván Carrillo Pérez is a Mexico-city based science journalist with a background in print, radio and television. Knight Science Journalism Fellow at MIT (2016-2017). He holds a position as anchor of Los Observadores-TV Azteca, a national television program exploring scientific innovation, technological development, health and enviromental topics. As weel, he is news reader for Noticiero Científico y Cultural Iberoamericano (NCCI) a TV program on science news that is broadcasting in 15 countries in the Latam. He has been a contributor for National Geographic Magazine LA, Newsweek Magazine en Español, CCN en Español (TV), and SPR News (TV), among others. Currently, he is profesor in digital journalism in the Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG), Jalisco. From 2005 to 2015 he was the editor in chief of Quo magazine (Time inc.), a national wide magazine dedicated to the dissemination of science and technology. In 2017 he was awarded with the CONACYT National Science, Technology and Innovation Journalism Award and COMECYT National Innovation journalism Award.
