Puzzled about “Dieselgate”? Intrigued by satellites, 5G, and Earth Observation? Concerned about disasters? Join us for a trip to the European Commission's very own research laboratories and discover what our scientists are doing to make sure EU legislation is based on the right science.

We'll show you how we measure car emissions in the lab and on the road. You will learn how we test the tech that powers your navigation tools and helps your car auto-dial emergency services in an accident. We will discuss emissions from electric cars and the challenges of interoperability and of charging a car in -35 degree Celsius. Last but not least, you will find out how scientists are making our buildings, including those housing the ITER project, more resistant to natural or man-made disasters .

Didn't find what you are looking for? Take a chance nevertheless – several dozens of specialised laboratories and more than a thousand scientific staff will have something interesting for you, too. If not, a drink in Milan is on us.
