Silvia Rosa Brusin
Silvia Rosa Brusin is the director of “Leonardo”, the first television news broadcast entirely dedicated to science news, on the air for 15 minutes daily at 2:50 pm on the channel RAI 3 since 1992. She is specialized in astronomy and astronautics; In recognition of her work in bringing science to the public at large the International Astronomical Union named an asteroid after her (7396 Brusin). Thanks to her initiative, NASA sent a digital copy of Leonardo da Vinci’s self-portrait and his Codex on flight to Mars. It is inserted in a chip aboard the Curiosity rover, currently at work on the Red Planet. She also created the first news reports for Italian television about GMOs and stem cells.
