Rob is a strategic communications director with expertise in health and science advocacy across industry, not-for-profit and public sector. He has been highlighted for excellence in strategy, team motivation and evaluation in an independent review of communications capability by the UK Government’s Cabinet Office. Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) member and Chair of the STEM PR Association. While working for global communications agencies, he has managed international pharmaceutical product launches for Roche and GSK. As Head of News for the Global Food Security Programme he coordinated partners from around the world on communications and advocacy to address major global challenges, increasing coordination and collaboration and facilitating the translation of research into policy and practice. Awards include: Third sector Third Sector Awards 2018, Communications Campaign of the Year for Meningitis Research Foundation’s adolescent vaccine campaign; Communiqué Awards 2007, Best Use of a Survey for GlaxoSmithKline’s HIV portfolio; Communiqué Awards 2005, Best Patient or Public Campaign for a social marketing campaign for Chelsea and Westminster Healthcare Trust.
