KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Freelance writer, Los Intangibles (Mexico)

Manuel Lino

I studied Biology, Music and Creative Writing, all of which I have applied to my job as a cultural journalist addressing issues in sciences, humanities and arts. I started my professional life as a composer and guitar player, and worked part time at the newspaper El Economista. When I had the chance to occupy the position of editor of the cultural section, I quit as a musician. I spent 12 years in that position. Then a year and seven months as chief of information at the TV program Creadores Universitarios. Now, I’m a freelance writer and an entrepreneur with the site “Los INTANGIBLES, stories on discovery and creation” (losintangibles.com). I’m also the first president and one of the founding members of the Mexican Network of Science Journalists (RedMPC).
