Joanne Silberner

Joanne Silberner is a features editor at BMJ in London and a long time freelancer covering global health and health policy. For 18 years she worked in radio at NPR in the US. And for 8 years, she taught journalism at the University of Washington. She's reported and written numerous stories about mental health and mental illness in the US, Uganda, and India, including a feature story for Discover Magazine on how mental health became a global issue.
