Director of Swiss television SRF (Switzerland)
Nathalie Wappler Hagen is Director of Swiss public broadcaster SRF’s German language radio and television services, and the first woman to lead the channels. Until May 2015, she was Head of the SRF’s culture department. She was then appointed Director of the German radio and television broadcaster Mitteldeuscher Rundfunk, MDR, where she gained a reputation as a pragmatic and effective strategist. Wappler Hagen began her career in 1996 as editor of the 3sat Kulturzeit programme, working for the German broadcaster ZDF. She moved to SRF in 2005, notably as Producer of the Kulturplatz and Sternstunden programmes.
