Curtis Brainard
Curtis Brainard is the Managing Editor at Scientific American, the oldest continuously published magazine in the United States, founded in 1845. He has served on the governing board of the World Federation of Science Journalists since 2013, including two years as President. He speaks frequently at conferences and events worldwide about science journalism and communications, and his writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Popular Science, Columbia Journalism Review and other publications. He is a graduate of and former adjunct faculty member at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, home of the Pulitzer Prizes. He lives in New York City.
