Daniela Hirschfeld

Daniela Hirschfeld has been a science journalist since 1999. For a decade, she was editor of the Science section of the weekly magazine Búsqueda de Montevideo, and the editor-in-chief of a weekly magazine. She is the regional Latin America editor and consultant for SciDev.Net. As a Scholar of the Knight Foundation's Science Journalism Program in 2009-2010, offered by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Harvard University in Boston, she specialized in science journalism. She has worked as a professor of journalism and science journalism at the Catholic University and the ORT University of Uruguay. Since 2017, she has been responsible for communication at the Institut Pasteur of Montevideo, and also advises on external communication at the Universidad ORT Uruguay. She is the author of the popular science book “Mentes en juego” (Montevideo, 2017).
